1. What BeforeCut Is

BeforeCut is an AI-powered visualization and advisory tool for hairstyle decisions. It takes a selfie you provide, generates hairstyle previews and recommendations using OpenAI's models, and presents them for your personal consideration.

BeforeCut is not a salon, a licensed stylist, or a medical service. The images and text it produces are predictions, not guarantees of any real-world result. Always consult a qualified stylist before making a decision about your hair.

2. Who Can Use It

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• You must upload only photos of yourself or photos you are legally entitled to use.
• You must not use BeforeCut to generate unlawful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or rights-infringing imagery.

3. Your Content

Your content means the selfie you upload and any text you type, such as goals, notes, and advisor chat messages. You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to process it only to run the service, send the selfie and prompts through our self-operated gateway to OpenAI, generate previews, show results back to you, and deliver any share link you choose to create.

We do not use your content to train an AI model of our own. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default.

4. AI Output

The generated images and text are for your personal, non-commercial use. AI output is probabilistic. It may be wrong, may misrepresent real styling constraints, and may be surprising. Confirm every haircut decision with a qualified human stylist.

5. Paid Features

BeforeCut offers a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the full Stylist Card for the session you bought it on. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.

• Purchases are tied to the session on which they were made.
• If Apple refunds or revokes the purchase, we revoke access accordingly.
• We do not handle payment information directly.

6. Fair Use

AI generation costs real money. We enforce soft rate limits to prevent abuse. Routine personal use should not hit them. Automated or abusive use may be throttled or blocked.

7. Service Availability

We do our best to keep BeforeCut running, but we do not promise 100% uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service or any part of it with or without notice.

8. Disclaimers and Liability

BeforeCut is provided as is and as available, without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeforeCut and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Termination

You may stop using BeforeCut at any time and delete your data from Settings in the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.

10. Privacy

Your use of BeforeCut is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

If we change these terms materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, surface the change in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
